All set for 2017 National Goalball Championship

As the clock counts down to the 2nd edition of the National Goalball Championship, teams from other regions are seriously training in their various places ahead of the event which is slated from 21st - 25th September 2017 in UCC Sports Hall.

The five days event will see all the 10 regions in Ghana (Gt.Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Western,  Central, Northern, Upper East, Upper West, Brong-Ahafo and Volta Region) competing for honours.

President of Central Region Ghana Blind Union Mr. Julius Braimah believes the stage is set for his region to dominate and make history by winning the Championship.

“We have submitted our list of players to the Organisers tells you how serious we are to win this years championship,” he said. “Looking the moral in camp by my players, it gonna be a host and win,” he added.

Takoradi hosted the maiden edition which was graced by the life patron of the Ghana Goalball Association Onsy Nathan Kwame Nkrumah, first son of Ghana’s late President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
