Spokesperson for the John Dramani Mahama campaign, Joyce Bawa Mogtari is of the view that times have become harder under the current administration.

She has argued that the country has seen backward growth since Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo took over as President of the country.

To her, that is the reason why the current government cannot speak to issues about the economy in the current electioneering campaign.

She has cited the rise in corruption, galamsey, and inflation among others which should be given the needed attention but has failed to be discussed just because the current government has failed woefully.

Joyce Bawa has recounted how these indices featured greatly during the 2016 elections and are worse off under a government that promised Ghanaians luxury.

Her post shared via social media read “Fuel was cheaper in 2016, the cedi to the Dollar was 3.9 Ghc, inflation was lower and the IMF, posited that the Cedi was going to grow by 8% in 2017. We didn’t have a Debt Restructuring in 2016 and we sure didn’t get any Haircuts and yet they told us real lies, and we voted for them.

"Now in 2024, everything is worse now than it was in 2016, they are no longer talking about the economy or about fighting inflation, corruption, and calamity. You ought to know better, #VoteWisely #VoteWiselyVoteJohnMahama #GhanaDeservesBetter.“
