Allianz Group honours hardworking physically challenged individuals

Allianz Group has held the 2017 edition of Allianz Awards to reward and recognise disabled persons who have achieved their dreams despite difficulties.

Awards for deserving incapacitated persons belonging to various categories such as Hero, Purpose and Beyond boundaries were presented.

Charles Narh Teye, whose legs were both amputated one week after birth was awarded the Hero category. Charles has been the only powerlifter competing for Ghana at the Olympic Games and the team manager for Ghana Amputee Football Team.

Emanuel Ofosu Yeboah, an award-winning disabled cyclist emerged as the winner for the purpose category.

Farida Nana Efua Bedwei, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Logical Ghana Limited received the award for the Beyond Boundaries category.

Deputy Manager for Allianz Ghana, Martin Amoah, charged individuals to support people with disabilities especially children.

He added that monies realised from the sale of tickets to the event will be used to support children with disabilities

Mr Amoah was worried a lot of great achievers who thrive despite challenges are not being acknowledged in the society.
