Central Regional Communications Director for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has urged Ghanaians to give Coach Kwesi Appiah the benefit of hindsight.
Inferring from the adage "To err is human; to forgive is divine", Allotey Jacobs pleaded with the nation to see Kwesi Appiah as human who is bound to make some bloopers in any facet of life.
According to him, Kwesi Appiah is a pious Coach and reveres his Maker of the Universe, so was optimistic despite Ghana's loss to the Americans "I know he is communing with his maker and…will make amends.”
Speaking on Kokrokoo on Peace FM, the NDC Central Propagandist came to the defense of Coach Kwesi Appiah, saying “every human is bound to make mistakes. It is only God and Christ who are perfect but so far as we are human beings created by the hands of God; due to our sins He’s made it that we’ve become imperfect…He’s done his best.
“He is a very cool guy, very respectful; God-fearing."
This notwithstanding, he slammed the national team players for under-performing during their first match.
To him, Ghana is tagged as a 'second Brazilian team’; therefore it was clear the Americans would definitely fortify themselves to face the Black Stars.
“Our pride was to have defeated America again…but it’s not yet late. Time is on our side," he said and advised the players to quickly rebound and win against the Germans.
