Accra, June 28, GNA - Squadron Leader George Tagoe, a Witness at the National Reconciliation Commission (NRC) on Monday said the late Mr Joachim Amartey-Kwei told him in a confession at the last prayers in the Nsawam Prisons that that Former President Jerry John Rawlings then Chairman of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC), Captain Kojo Tsikata (rtd), former National Security advisor were his accomplices in the abduction and killing of the three High Court Judges and retired army officer.
Sqn-Ldr Tagoe told the Commission that Mr Amartey-Kwei said he took the action on the orders of Capt Tsikata and pleaded for God's forgiveness when he prayed for him in the Prisons. Capt Tsikata, who was represented by a team of Lawyers, led by Dr Obed Yao Asomoah, denied the allegation and said it was a fabrication. 28 June 04
