Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, is not captured in the Number 12 undercover documentary jointly produced by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and the BBC, Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul-Malik Kweku Baako has said.

The documentary, which took more than two years to produce, captures corruption in football in Ghana.

Mr Baako’s comment comes after Mr Agyapong launched a scathing attack on Anas’ modus operandi in his journalism practice.

According to Mr Agyapong, Anas does not practice investigative journalism but sets people up to destroy their hard-won reputation.

He noted that if Anas were to have been using the same entrapment tactics in some other part of the world, he would have been killed by now.

The lawmaker described Anas as “corrupt, evil and wicked”, and promised to strip him naked with evidence.

Some Ghanaians have been wondering on social media, why the lawmaker has set his daggers on Anas, with some speculating that the award-winning journalist might have captured Mr Agyapong in his latest documentary.

However, Mr Baako told Kwami Sefa Kayi on Accra-based Peace FM’s Kokrokoo programme on Wednesday, 30 May that Mr Agyapong is not in the video.

Asked if Mr Agyapong had been mentioned in the video, Mr Baako said: “Let the video come out”.

The documentary would be premiered on 6 June 2018.
