Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has denied claims that he often takes bribes in order to drop portions of his exposés.

The award-winning undercover journalist has been in the news following the premiere of his latest documentary, titled “Galamsey Fraud”.

Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team have once again had to face allegations of entrapment, with some claiming he normally takes bribes to throw away a story.

This follows reports that a former employee of Tiger Eye PI called Osei Agyeman blew the cover of the team.

Reacting to this, Anas denied being involved in such acts, while challenging anyone with evidence to report him to the police.

In a statement, Tiger Eye PI also denied knowledge of any former employee by the name Osei Agyeman.

“In the past week, Tiger Eye PI has noted false news publications in the media about a purported former employee revealing alleged secrets. There is another false publication about a purported person exposing Tiger Eye PI and Abdul Malik Kweku Baako in respect of a totally fabricated story of “killing” a story.

“Tiger Eye PI would like to put on record that it has no employee by name Osei Agyeman, and neither it nor its CEO, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and Abdul Malik Kweku Baako took money from any person to “kill” any story,” sections of the statement reads.

It added: “These are textbook “fake news” stories created by persons whose avowed aim is simply to ruin the enviable repute of Tiger Eye PI, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and Abdul Malik Kweku Baako.

The Tiger Eye PI team added that the trend of false publications are being championed on OKAY FM by a presenter who styles himself as Kwame Nkrumah Tikesie.

Tiger Eye PI however, entreated persons who claim they have incriminating evidence of wrongdoing on its part to send such evidence to the police.
