Late former President John Evans Atta Mill and Former President John Dramani Mahama were mentioned in Anas investigative work in 2012, Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the National Service Secretariat (NSS), David Prah has alleged.
According to Mr. David Prah, the piece on the cocoa smuggling and corruption in the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) had the names of late Mills and former President Mahama mentioned but they both failed to take the needed action as being done by the current administration.
“The name of then vice president, Mr. John Dramani Mahama was mentioned. What steps did they take? They didn’t take any step. They covered up and allowed some individuals to be punished and others left to go unpunished.’’
After accusing both Former Presidents of covering up the exposé allowing some bigwigs of the then ruling National Democratic Congress to go unpunished, Mr. Prah also praised concerns about Anas’ modus operandi-a subject that has become public debate.
“In his view, the method used by Anas is not problematic because we have to use any means possible to expose looters and corrupt individuals who steal from the state for their own selfish interest.” He said
Mr. Prah, commenting on the allegations raised by Kennedy Agyapong said, he supports the Assin Central MP because his allegations are serious. ‘’I support Kennedy Agyapong on some of his allegations.
“I will encourage Ghanaians to allow us watch both videos. Kennedy Agyapong has promised to expose Anas and I know it is going to be an interesting adventure,’’ he said. ‘’He who calls for equity must come with clean hands.”
