Multiple award-winning investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has shocked the whole country with a surprise move at a recent interview as he decided to take off his beaded mask and show his real face to the public.

Speaking in a recent interview with Fiifi Anaman on ‘Sports Xtra’, the journalist gladly decided to show his real face to the general public to put to bed their doubts about how he really looked like.

This episode took place from the 31st minute of his wide-ranging interview after his latest investigative piece, ‘Number 12’ was premiered.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas, after being asked if he wanted to show his face, removed his mask and showed the face of a dark-skinned, old-looking man who seemed to have a blemish on one of his eyes.

In recent times, many people including Member of Parliament of Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, have tried several times to ‘expose’ the undercover journalist and show his face to the whole country.

Not too long ago, the legislator put out some pictures of the top journalist less than 24 hours to the premiere of his piece, ‘Who watches the watchman’; a video reported to expose Anas Aremeyaw Anas as corrupt.

Prior to this, the Member of Parliament put out a number of pictures reported to be that of the journalist. However, some top journalists and close sources of Anas, came out to deny that Anas’ photo was part of the pictures released by the legislator.

As a matter of fact, this is not the first time the journalist has taken the life-threatening opportunity to show his real face in an interview.

He did same in an interview in which he took off his mask and was seen looking like a man affected by albinism.

Anas’ investigative documentary, ‘Number 12’, which was premiered on June 6 in Accra, exposed deep-seated corruption in the football circle and has had some rippling effects so far.

Mr. Nyantakyi was consequently given a 90-day ban by FIFA forcing him to resign from his long-serving position as the head of the Ghana Football Association.

Ghana’s Football Association is currently being dissolved by the government; an action many fear could result in the world football governing body FIFA banning Ghana from participating in its activities.
