Andrews University donates to SDA Senior High School

Gomoa Jukwa (C/R), July 9, GNA- Andrews University of Michigan, in the United State of America (USA) has presented two containers full of furniture to the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Senior High School at Gomoa Jukwa, near Agona Swedru in the Central Region.

Pastor Dr Paul Sampa, a member of the SDA Church in Ghana, who presented the items on behalf of the University, said the donation has been made possible through a recommendation by the executive members of the Church, after visiting the school last year.

He said the University has also agreed to have an exchange programme with the school's students and teachers.

Dr Sampa, who had doctorate degree from the University, said the University has adopted the School to help improve academic and infrastructure development to enhance academic performance of the students.

He appealed to the authorities of the school to take good care of the items to serve the purpose for which it was intended. Pastor Richard Ntriakwa, Director of the School expressed his appreciation to the University for the kind gesture, and urged other institutions and organizations both at home and abroad to assist. Pastor Ntriakwa said the school has acquired a 20 hectare land for the construction of a hospital at Gomoa Jukwa and appealed for assistance.

The Director noted that, students admitted to the school would be trained academically and spiritually, so that they could serve the nation in future, to enhance the socio-economic advancement of the people.

Pastor Ntriakwa commended tutors of the school for their hard work and dedication, which had attracted international recognition and assured that the school would cater for them well to motivate them to give off their best.
