Ankaful (C/R), Jan. 4, GNA - Anthony Annan, Black Stars midfielder, has donated food items and an undisclosed amount of money to the Padre Pio Rehabilitation Centre at Ahotokrom near Ankaful.
The items rice, sugar, bread, biscuits, soap and sachet water were received by the Rev Sister Patricia Pearson, the Director of the Centre.
Annan said the donation was his personal contribution towards the welfare of the inmates of the Centre that rehabilitates cured lepers and also assists the less privileged.
It was established in 1983 by the Catholic Church and has 183 inmates. Rev Sis Pearson thanked Annan for the donation.
