Ghana is today joining eight of her colleague ECOWAS States to issue Biometric passports to its citizens. It’s expected that the new passport which has high security features will significantly reduce challenges such as theft and other fraudulent activities associated the old passport.

At the launch of the new passport the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni advised Ghanaians not to rush to change the old passport since the old and new passport will run concurrently until November 2015.
