The Police have arrested another notorious armed robber popularly known as ''Cash''. Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, Kofi Boakye did not give details about the mode of arrest but said investigations were still continuing.
He was speaking at a symposium organised by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly as part of the second Local Government week celebration.
ACP Kofi Boakye who was speaking on the topic - "Consolidating Good Local Governance, The Role Of The Police" said the activities of armed robbers had subsided because the police were now in firm control.
He said robbers were now using 419 tactics in the form of cheques and rent to defraud people. ACP Boakye also disclosed that 95 per cent of armed robbers in the country were Ghanaians while Nigerians and Liberians make up the rest.
He regretted that some assembly members sympathise with some of the robbers instead of reporting to the police and urged them to ensure security in their areas.
