Koku Anyidoho, Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC) has lashed out at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for boycotting two radio stations- Neat fm and Okay fm- all under the Despite Group of companies.

Speaking to Neat FM, Koku Anyidoho made allegations that the NPP is trying to undermine press freedom.

“We talking about press freedom, they claim they believe in press freedom and also claim their leader Nana Addo is a Human Rights Lawyer and a Human Rights activist who went on so many demonstrations for democracy yet what do we see; gross level of intolerance,” he said, referring to the NPP.

According to him, the NPP wants to control all media content and also want a section of the media to stop him- Koku Anyidoho- and other political personalities from speaking on certain networks and that the mere fact that they haven’t achieved what they want, they resorted to boycotting.

He lamented that, “Neat FM and Okay FM should be grateful the NPP didn’t storm the studios with acid and cutlasses as in the case of Kwasi Twum when they threatened him whom also out of fear sacked Bobie Ansah from Asempa FM.

He said if the NPP can do all this when in opposition, could do worse once they are in power.

In a separate chat with Ghanapoliticsonline.com, he said the NPP have laid plans to threaten Despite to sack Kwame Nkrumah Tikese and Adakabre Frimpong Manso
