Prophet Eric Nana Akwasi Amponsah, who is popularly known as Computer Man has alleged that Koku Anyidoho stopped him from seeking God’s protection and favor for the late President John Evans Atta Mills before his demise.

The General Overseer of the Hope Generation Ministry International says all efforts to ensure that the ailing president survived were embarrassingly thwarted by Mr Anyidoho, who was the presidential spokesperson at the time.

“Koku Anyidoho and some elements in government prevented me from seeing President Mills and it was very painful because some of us had seen death approaching him.

“But these people would not allow us to minister the word of God and pray for him. In fact, he thought, I was seeking for favors from the president,” the prophet disclosed in an interview with asempanews.com at his church premises in Accra.

Computer Man revealed that he had known the late president years before he was elected into office, adding that “something could have been done to save the life of the former president”.

“I have prayed for lots of politicians in this country, so I was surprise when Koku Anyidoho and others decided to be rude to me. And it was a shame to see a good man passed away in such an awkward manner,” he stressed.

Late President Mills died at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra on 24th July, 2012 where he was rushed to after he slumped at the Castle.

Mills, 68, was suspected to have died from throat cancer. He became president of the Republic in 2009 after having served as vice president from 2000 to 2004.

Computer Man, however, seized the opportunity to advise Christians, particularly pastors to refrain from active politics and play a “neutral role” since that could adversely affect their ministries.

“As men of God, we should be neutral and serve whoever is elected as president and not take sides because that could negatively affect the work of God. Pastors must be neutral at all times irrespective of which party is in power,” the prophet humbly submitted.
