The Youth Wing and Polling Station Executives of the New Patriotic Party in the Gomoa West have made an appeal to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to appoint a competent and honest District Chief Executive (DCE) to ensure development.
According to the youth Wing, they would resist all attempts to impose any DCE that could create rancour within the rank and file of the Party.
Addressing a press conference at Apam, Mr Alex de-Graft Akondor, the spokesperson said the people in the constituency had deeply rooted for Mr Josegh Eyiah Koomson to be nominated for the position of DCE.
The spokesperson said Mr Koomson had contributed effectively and that culminated the victory of the party in the 2016 elections in the Gomoa West.
Mr Akondor cautioned that any attempt to impose Mr Bismark Baisie Inkoom, the Constituency Chairman as DCE on them would be resisted, saying if the decision had taken, then it was better to be reversed.
He alleged that Mr Baisie Inkoom is being pushed by some regional executives to be appointed as DCE, but it would not be possible and would not help the party.
The spokesperson hinted that Mr Eyiah Koomson who is a Polling Station secretary at Apam donated a pick-up, T-shirts and other logistics support to the party during 2016 elections.
