Appolonia City lauded for supporting education in the local community

Appolonia City has been commended for supporting education at the recent speech and prize giving day for schools within the local Appolonia community.

The ceremony sought to recognise and reward hardworking teachers and students, as well as handover the refurbished two-unit kindergarten block for the Appolonia Kpone Katamanso Municipal Assembly Methodist Primary School.

Appolonia City CEO Bright Owusu-Amofah said, “We believe that the active participation of all stakeholders in education has great potential to improve the quality of lives of the people of Appolonia.”

The Accra Regional Director of Education, Dr. Mrs. Rhoda Eghan, praised the refurbishment done by Appolonia City.

“Parents of the community and managers of the school should count their blessings to have Appolonia City rally to their support, speech and prize giving days are rare events in most public basic schools owing to financial constraints.”

The event was well-attended by government officials, including Rosina Adorbor, Municipal Education Director for Kpone Katamanso and Solomon Tetteh Appiah, Municipal Chief Executive,as well as school representatives, teachers, and students.
