Accra, Oct. 22, Gye Nyame Concord -- HURRAY! The woman at the centre of the row between NPP member, Mr Tony Osei Tutu and Deputy Minister of The Interior, Mr Thomas Yaw Broni, has delivered.

Ms. Martha Nkrumah, family friends told this paper, delivered a bouncing baby boy safely last week at one of the plush hospitals in Accra (name withheld) ? a day after her yet-to-be ex-husband, Osei Tutu, hinted on Komla Dumor?s JOY FM ?Super Morning Show? that she had been impregnated by the 67-year-old Deputy Minister.

The Deputy Minister was reportedly not present at the hospital at the time his mistress was in labour.

By press time, excited friends close to the Deputy Interior Minister told the Gye Nyame Concord that they were going to send him congratulatory messages over his new achievement as a father, and what many consider an admirable feat considering his age.

Though this paper could not establish by press time how many children the Deputy Minister has, the child would be the third for Ms Nkrumah and the first for the new ?couple?.

Estranged hubby, Osei Tutu, who filed divorce proceedings in court in June this year to pave the way for a formal separation of their union, already has two kids with her.

Efforts to reach Messrs Broni and Osei Tutu by press time failed.

Concord could not by press time also tell what the implication of the arrival of the new born child would be in the two court cases over the alleged ?wife-snatching saga?.

By press time, the Managing Editor of the Gye Nyame Concord, Mr Alfred Ogbamey, was on phone trying to reach NPP member, Osei Tutu, to advise him to take things in their stride and let things be.

Just recently, Osei Tutu, told JOY FM that his wife was snatched from him by Broni using his alleged influence as a public officer and that his problem was that the Minister did that without waiting for their union to be fully dissolved.

He also disclosed that ?The Honourable Thomas Broni? has impregnated the woman? and quickly performed some marriage rites at a time when formalities for divorce of the marriage between him and the woman were not complete, and accused the minister of being an accessory to bigamy.

The alleged wife-snatching saga hit the headlines two years ago when this paper reported it after holding the story for over six months during which the Managing Editor sought to convince the Deputy Minister to stay off the woman or get her to initiate a formal break-up of the 17-year-old union between the NPP member and Ms Nkrumah.

At the time, close friends of Osei-Tutu, a German-educated member of the Greater Accra regional branch of the NPP, told this paper that he had planned to walk into the office of the then Deputy Minister of Lands and Forestry to assault him.

Mediations by mutual friends and party members between Broni and Osei Tutu have yielded no fruit, although one of Broni?s closest ally in government, Chief of Staff Mr Kwadwo Mpianin once told listeners of Peace FM Kwame Sefa Kayi?s ?Kokrokoo? programme that the presidency had cautioned Broni to stay off the woman or risk losing his ministerial post. That was after a petition was fired to President Kufuor on the issue, following which the BNI was tasked to probe the affair.

Broni had assured them he was off the woman, Mpianin said on the programme almost two years ago.
