Armed robbers shoot one dead, injure others at Akyem Anyinasin

Notorious highway robbers terrorizing commuters on Akyem Anyinasin to Tafo road have gunned down one person and injured others.

The incident occured Wednesday evening around 7:30pm.

The body of the deceased identified as Richard Boateng alias Kofi Tawiah, 37, has been retrieved by police from Akyem Tafo District Police Command and deposited at the Tafo Government Hospital Morgue.

One other person who suffered a gunshot wound has been hospitalized at the same hospital.

The Assembly Member for Anyinasin, Isaac Okyere narrated to Kasapa News that, the robbers hijacked a tricycle to block the deplorable road to aid their operation.
