Human Rights Lawyer and Activist Francis-Xavier Sosu has called on the gender ministry to fine parents who refuse to offer their responsibilities for children’s needs.

“We have great laws for children protection in Ghana but we do not enforce them.”

“Children who are seen loitering about unaccompanied must be arrested and detained through Social Welfare facilities until their parents are either formally charged or at least fined for the neglect of their children under the Domestic Violence Act”.
