Management of MTN-Ghana has presented a cheque for GH¢100,000.00 and a hamper of drinks to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in support of his 20th Anniversary Celebration.
A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr Samuel Koranteng, Corporate Services Executive, said the presentation was made during a courtesy call on the King at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi to congratulate him and wish him well for the years ahead.
It said the delegation, made up of MTN executive members and staff, was led by Mr Selorm Adadevoh, the Chief Executive Officer of MTN-Ghana.
“You are an exemplary visionary leader and supporting this anniversary is worth it, following your immense contribution towards peace and development in Ghana," the statement said.
"You inspire confidence in us and MTN is proud to support Asanteman. We consider ourselves as a development partner of Asanteman and the Ashanti Region is a crucial market as far as MTN’s business is concerned."
Otumfuo Osei Tutu commended MTN for its continued support to the Manhyia Palace and expressed his profound gratitude for the gesture.
He again commended the company for its consistency in service delivery and urged it to continue investing in corporate social initiatives to transform lives.
He called on management of MTN to invest more in developing a network that guaranteed quality service to the satisfaction of subscribers.
MTN had held a good relationship with the Otumfuo and the entire Asanteman over the years and had supported festivals of the various regions including ‘Ashantifest’.
