Ashanti Regional Chief Imam is dead

The Ashanti Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Abdul Mumin Haroun is reported to have died in the late hours of Tuesday, December 7, 2024.

According to multiple reports, Sheikh Abdul Mumin Haroun died on Tuesday night after being rushed to the Emergency Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for medical attention after battling a short illness.

Sheikh Abdul Mumin Haroun is known to have provided spiritual support and guidance not only to Muslims in the community but also to other religious communities in the country.
