The head Pastor of the Jehovah Jireh Assemblies of God Church at Lakeside Estate, Adenta, Reverend Dr. Joyce Frimpong, has called on Ghanaians to continuously pray and seek God's interventions ahead of the December 7 general election in a bid to ensure peace during and after the polls.
She made this known when the National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Stephen Ntim, his wife, the Parliamentary candidate of the Adenta Constituency, Mrs. Akosua Manu, and other notable personalities in the constituency joined the church in worship. The visit also afforded the campaign team the privilege to interact with the church members and share the vision of the party.
Reverend Joyce Frimpong advised Akosua many to continue with her good work since that would be rewarded by God. Just Like Esther, Nehemiah and the Shunammite woman and how they were blessed through their faith, those who seek the face of the Lord are rewarded,” she stated.
The Shunammite woman is based on the Old Testament scriptures of 2 Kings 4:8-37 and 2 Kings 8:1-6 where she was described as a great woman when she showed hospitality to the prophet Elisha and his servant, Gehazi as they passed through her village of Shunem on their way to Mt. Carmel.
Mr Stephen Ayensu Ntim, in a statement, urged pastors and Christians to constantly pray for the peace of the nation towards the 2024 general election.
Speaking to the Congregation, Mr.Ayensu Ntim, encouraged Christians to come together and pray consistently for the peace of the nation and seek divine guidance before, during, and after the general elections, in order to ensure sustained peace.
"We are visiting churches to seek prayers for Ghana and our political party NPP," Mr. Ayensu stated
He further urged all the church members to consider voting for Dr. Bawumia to enable him drive the growth and development agenda.
He further used the opportunity to introduce the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Adenta Constituency, Mrs Akosua Manu, also known as Kozie, calling on voters in the Adenta constituency to vote her in power for more developmental projects within the constituency.
Akosua Manu, in a statement, reiterated the tremendous achievements of the NPP government, mentioning the Free Senior High School initiative as one of their great achievements.
According to her, the NPP has expanded access to free education for all citizens and said it has led to the enrolment of 5.7 million youth in Senior Secondary schools.
She pleaded with the congregation and the constituents to vote for her and Dr Bawumia on the general elections to enable them to continue to deliver to improve livelihood and infrastructure.
