Abuakwa (Ash), Aug 11, GNA - The District Chief Executive for Atwima-Nwabiagya, Nana Asare Bediako, has pledged the district assembly's resolve to put in more resources to create the right conditions for effective academic work in schools in the area.

He said they would work hard to ensure that there was enough classroom space, tables and chairs for school children.

He was addressing the fifth speech and prize-giving day of the Tweneboa-Kodua International School at Abuakwa.

Nana Asare Bediako said making quality education accessible to every Ghanaian child was a key pillar of the government's agenda.

He said 93we have to remind ourselves that these children are the nation's future and must therefore be given every necessary support to grow into responsible adults."

Mr Cosmas Yao Dzansi, the District Director of Education, urged all stakeholders to join hands with the government to promote information, communication and technology (ICT) education at all levels of education.

This, he said, has become important to help to inject some pace into the country's socio-economic progress.

Mr Augustine Kyei-Ababio, the out-going Headmaster, said the school's population had grown from 500 children in 2003 to 1,031, adding that the academic performance had also been encouraging.
