Assemblyman dies while fixing streetlights for residents

George Agyei Frimpong, the Assemblyman for the Oguaa Electoral Area in the New Juaben South Municipality, has died.

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, the Assemblyman perished as a result of electrocution.

According to reports received by Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the middle-aged man died while repairing overhead lamps for residents.

Residents hurried him to Koforidua Central Regional Hospital, but he died as a result of electrocution.

The tragic incident has left the inhabitants and families stunned and in despair.

George Agyei Frimpong, a well-known carpenter, was elected as the assembly member for the Oguaa Electoral Area in the most recent district assembly elections.
