Assemblyman to contest parliamentary seat

A 35-year old recently elected Assembly member for Nkawkaw Zongo Electoral Area, Mr Taminu Halidu has picked a nomination form, to contest the National Democratic Congress(NDC) primary for Nkawkaw.

The elected assembly member, Mr Halidu is the Director of the New Generation College, a private second cycle institution at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region and holds a masters degree in industrial mathematics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

Addressing the party supporters after receiving his nomination forms from the Constituency Secretary of the Party, Mr Sidi Bello, Mr Halidu said, he decided to contest the party parliamentary primary to ensure a keen competition.

He expressed the hope that he would win the primary and go on to win the parliamentary seat to represent the people in the next parliament.

He urged the supporters of the party to give him the needed support and intensify their campaign for him, to win the primary.
