Kumasi, Sept. 14, GNA -Mr Sampson Adu-Poku, Assemblymember for Ntribuoho Electoral area has appealed to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), as a matter of urgency to provide the people of Krobo (Adomakowaabuoho) near Afrancho in the Kwabre District with a separate transformer to end the perennial black-outs and low current problem in the area.

He said the people of late have been experiencing either power cuts or low voltage, which besides depriving them of enjoying the constant supply of power has damaged their electrical appliances, thereby imposing extra financial problems on them.

Speaking to the press in Kumasi on Saturday on development projects in his area, the Assemblymember observed that the community has expanded tremendously and as a result, supply to the area could not meet the greater number of consumers who need the power.

Mr Adu-Poku was of the view that the provision of a new transformer will not only enable the people to enjoy uninterrupted power but would also earn ECG more revenue.

The Assemblymember commended Mr Paul Addai of Addai Cutlass for reshaping the Afrancho-Ntribuoho road, which he said, in spite of numerous appeals to the Department of Feeder Roads to rehabilitate it, nothing was done.

He called on the Department not to leave the rehabilitation of road in the hands of certain people who have the welfare of their communities at heart, since it was the responsibility of the department to reshape the roads to save the people from the hardships during the rainy season.
