John Evans Atta Mills, NDC Presidential Candidate, last Saturday inaugurated the new constituency office of the NDC in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency of the Central Region.
John Evans Atta Mills, who detoured through the Constituency on his way to Cape Coast for the Fetu Afahye Festival, spent close to five hours interacting with his party members in the constituency.
The inauguration, which took place in Breman Asikuma, saw party faithful pour out in droves as it gave them the opportunity to meet with their flagbearer especially after their Leader had just returned from a two week visit to the United States selling his vision and plans for the country.
The NDC members of the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency, who had been monitoring with keen interest, the activities of their Leader in the United States, expressed joy at the way the issue of ROPAL was handled anytime it came up for discussion.
They expressed joy at the way the NDC Presidential Candidate made it clear that the NDC was not against ROPAL in principle and that the NDC had a problem with the way the NPP was trying to stampede the process so they can get their Ambassadors who would be Returning Officers, to inflate the foreign votes since it is very obvious that the NPP would never win any election that is conducted within the four corners of Ghana.
John Evans Atta Mills, thanked the people for monitoring his activities both home and abroad, commended them for raising funds for the refurbishment of the office, and lauded their self-help spirit.
“You have amply demonstrated that you are prepared to do whatever it would take to give the NDC the mandate of the majority of Ghanaians, and I am very proud of you. It is this kind of self-help spirit that would move the NDC and Ghana forward, and I am happy that you the people of the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Constituency are leading the way” Atta Mills said.
NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, aka General Mosquito, who was also present, advised the people to work assiduously to secure victory in the Region for Professor Mills.
The NDC General Secretary asked the people to avoid the use of provocative and abusive language in their discourse since that is the only way they would be able to attract more people to the party.
John Evans Atta Mills, assisted by Mrs. Georgina Nkrumah Boah and Mr. Anthony Robert Frimpong, both aspiring parliamentary candidates for the constituency, Mr. Vallis Akyianu, Central Regional Chairman of the NDC and Samuel Aidoo, NDC Constituency Chairman, joined hands to inaugurate the refurbished office.
