Francis Atta, a Ghanaian-Canadian youth motivational speaker and fitness enthusiast has been named as the premier torchbearer for the 2015 Toronto Pan Am/Parapan Am Games by the organizers of the summer games. The new Mayor of Toronto, John Tory proudly introduced Francis Atta as the premier torchbearer for the games to an enthusiastic crowd in Toronto this month.
Francis Atta is a humble Ghanaian youth who grew up in the Jane/Finch challenging neighbourhood of Toronto and was able to flip his life from negative to positive. No wonder he is the author of the book, "The Flip" which addresses the youth and offers practical means of dealing with challenges that confront them such as peer pressure using his own life experiences.
Francis Atta is an 'epitome' of the benefits of hard work and positive influences. He is a great example to all youth.
The Ghanaian community in Canada is very proud of Francis Atta for his enviable achievements. Let's all go and support Francis at the Driftwood Community Centre in Toronto on July 8, 2015!!
