The pathologist Dr Kwaku Adomkao Boateng who performed the autopsy on the late CPP Regional Chairman, Alhaji Issah Mobilla has submitted his report to the coroner.
According to the summary of the report, the cause of death was due to the collapse of the left lung hematorage, fractured ribs and severe multiple abrasions suggesting that the deceased suffered some acts of violence.
Other details of the report included the fact that he had multiple abrasions in the upper part of the chest just above the nipples, multiple abrasions on both shoulders, left arm and fore arms as well as the right arm.
There were also multiple abrasions on the left plank, on the back thighs and legs as well as lacerations on the right six toes and fractured ribs.
An internal examination indicated a collapse of the left lung with hematorage but he right lung, heart, kidney and urethra were all normal.
The late Alhaji Mobilla died under mysterious circumstances in military custody in Tamale early this month.
There were suggestions that Alhaji Mobilla died from brutalities meted out to him by the military.
Meanwhile the family of the deceased have started negotiations to obtain a burial certificate to bury Alhaji Mobilla tomorrow.
The family yet to meet the reagent of Gushegu before making any statement.
The autopsy forms part of the efforts by the Regional Security Council to determine the cause of the death. The Regional Security Council as at the time had not made any statement.
