Black Stars B defender, Awal Mohammed, is confident they can overcome the Stallions of Burkina Faso in Saturday’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier slated for the Stade du 4 Août, in Ouagadougou.
The first leg encounter promises to be a fascinating tie in a West ‘B’ Zone derby with both sides looking to book a place in the 2018 CHAN tournament to be hosted by Kenya.
According to the experienced defender, they couldn’t make it to the last edition of the CHAN, so this time around the expectations are high, so they will do their best in overcoming their Burkinabe counterparts.
“We couldn’t make it to the last CHAN tournament, so this time round the expectation is high, so we are doing every possible to qualifier for next edition because it will be disaster if we don’t make it. So hopefully by the end of the second tie we can come out victorious,” Awal said in an interview.
