Mr Mahama Ayariga, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bawku Central Constituency, has assured the people of Bawku that he would make the development of the Youth a priority since they were the driving force for unity.

Mr Ayariga, visited his Constituency, on Monday, to formally inform the people of his intention to contest for the seat, and said he would continue with programmes such as skills training for the youth and women; and also support education and Agriculture when re-elect1ed.

Additionally, the MP said he could lobby for significant projects that would help the entire Municipality.

Mr Ayariga stated there had been some challenges in sustaining unity in the Constituency, but he was doing everything possible to ensure lasting unity for the development of the National Democratic Party (NDC) in the area.

He had earlier on paid a courtesy call on the Bawku Naba, Asigri Azoka Abugragoe II, and other stakeholders, including the former NDC Constituency Chairman and other opinion leaders, to solicit for their support.

The MP also visited some communities in the Municipality to seek for their support and urged them to remain committed to the NDC party because it had many plans for them.

He called on members of the party and the Youth to desist from politics of insults and remain peaceful and united in order to bring victory to the party in 2016.
