The Ayawaso Central constituency of the governing National Democratic Congress has suspended all party activities in protest of what it termed “negative interference” in it affairs.

The constituency which is blaming the leadership of the party at the region for the current woes wants three people held responsible for any untoward development in the aftermath of the suspension.

The three are: Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Ade Coker, the Deputy Regional Minister Isaac Nii Njanmah Vanderpuije and the Parliamentary Candidate William Afum Annie-Adjei.

This was contained in a letter written by the constituency chairman Ebenezer Arkutu to the party’s General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia which was intercepted by tv3network.com.

“This decision was unanimously reached by the Constituency Executive Committee at an emergency meeting held on Saturday 13th February, 2016,” the letter said in part with President Mahama, NDC’s National Functional Executive Committee and Council of Elders in copy.

“This decision has everything to do with the selection and appointment of Members to the Accra Sub-Metropolitan District (i.e. Councilors),” the letter revealed.

When TV3network.com contacted the Regional Chairman of NDC, Joseph Kwabena Ade Coker, he declined to comment on anything relating to the Ayawaso Central constituency.
