Ayew wasn’t on the Black Stars bench as a player but… - Osei Parma

Executive Committee Member of the Ghana Football Association, Winfred Kwaku Osei has put in plain words why injured Andre Ayew was allowed to sit on the Black Stars bench in the game against Uganda for technical reasons.

Most football fandom have expressed worried why the deputy captain who was injured was still handed opportunity to sit at the team’s beach for Ghana’s FIFA World Cup qualifier against Uganda on Friday in Tamale.

But the owner of Tema Youth FC Osei Kwaku says one technical staff was sacrificed in order to make way for West Ham United Andre Ayew on the bench.

“It was a technical decision, the decision to put him on the bench was purely a technical one”, Osei Palmer told Kumasi based Nhyira FM.

‘’He was on the bench, the match commissioner didn’t question so we leave it there’’,

“He wasn’t put there as a player, he was there as a technical person and so obviously, a member of the technical staff was substituted for him to be on the team sheet as a technical person”,
