National Democratic Congress communicator in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Kwaku Asafo Agyei has said, he will believe and accept the public apology of embattled Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, George Ayisi-Boateng only if the envoy agrees to swear with a deity he did it willingly.
He suspects the New Patriotic Party (NPP) guru was forced by his superiors to apologise and retract his divisive comments contrary to claims by sections of his party’s leadership he never apologized under duress.
According to the communicator, until the High Commissioner swears with the dreaded “Antoa Nyamaa” deity in the Ashanti region, he does not believe Mr. George Ayisi-Boateng will treat Ghanaians fairly as an envoy.
“I doubt his apology and he should swear with “Antoa” deity to assure us he will use his office to treat everyone equally as expected”, the outspoken communicator dared.
“Until that is done, I still do not see the sincerity that he will not discriminate”, the aspiring NDC Ashanti Regional Deputy Communication Officer told mynewsgh.com in an exclusive interview.
Mr. George Ayisi Boateng, who is the country’s High Commissioner to South Africa made the headlines for saying he would prioritize the interest of New Patriotic Party NPP)supporters over and above any other Ghanaian.
NDC Minority in parliament including many Ghanaians home and abroad are calling on President Akufo-Addo to strip him of his ambassadorial position
The astute politician, however, has rendered an unqualified apology to Ghanaians over his divisive comments.
The Minority described the apology rendered as wishy-washy, insincere and unacceptable insisting he is unfit to represent Ghana in any capacity and must be given a sack by President Akufo-Addo.
