Bats have invaded a basic school in the Dormaa West District of the Brong Ahafo region.

The mammals, according to information gathered by Starr News are disrupting academic work in the school.

The invasion has heightened fears over a possible Ebola outbreak since the hemorrhagic fever was reported to have been first transmitted from a bat.

Alfred Kumi, Head Teacher of Diaba Local Authority Primary School said the bats have invaded all their classrooms which is disrupting academic work.

“The bats have invaded all our classrooms and it is making our academic work very difficult,” Kumi told Starr News in an interview.

He added: “aside the noise the bats make, their faeces have a pungent smell, in fact, the scent is very bad and making the class uncomfortable to stay in”.
