Glorious Wave Church International Pastor, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has resorted to making very suggestive and ethnocentric comments about women in recent times because he is a small-minded person, trapped in a grown up’s body, member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s communication team, Padmore Baffour Agyapong has said.
The regular analyst on Net2 TV's 'National Agenda' program noted how he came to the conclusion after trying to comprehend why such comments will emerge from a known preacher and someone who the public looked up to.
Childishness, is the only thing he could attribute to the unwarranted statements from the known Prophet.
According to him, he appears to be a grown man with a childish mind and mindset; reason for his line of reasoning.
“After listening to his comments about Ghanaian women and subsequent videos after, I have come to one conclusion; that the man has a childish brain. I don’t intend any malice or insult but by observation, he is small-minded. He has a grown up’s body though, but has a very childish mind. I say this because I listened to a video in which he expressed joy about the fact that he was trending after making those ethnocentric comments”, he said.
Mr. Baffour Agyapong further lambasted Prophet Kobi for drifting focus off his calling, which is the work of God to waddle in ‘unnecessary debate’ that attracts media attention and questions his stance as a man of God.
“He was quoting the Chronicle and how he had made the news in the media suggesting that it was all about the news. A Prophet who claims to be doing the work of God, you are seeking to make the headlines in the media? Should we suppose then that he was spewing gibberish? What kind of life is that for a man of God? Which prophet who has been called by God in these end times will speak like this?.”
Background
Prophet Badu Kobi has been in the news recently because of seemingly tribalistic comments he made about women in some tribes in Ghana.
Badu Kobi speaking at his church last week described Ashanti women as greedy, ungrateful and untrustworthy women whom men should not marry. He also described Fante women as foolish and Ewe women as doormats.
Although there have been calls on him to apologize for the reckless statements, Badu Kobu insists he was speaking sense and he will never apologize to anyone. He described people disagreeing with him as witches.
He also, responding to the Asantehene’s office said he was ready to explain his comments before the Asantehene if he had to appear before him.
Meanwhile, several women, Sunday August 4, thronged the premises of the Glorious Wave church to protest and demand an apology from the man of God whom they say through his statements, is blocking their chances for marriage.
