Bawumia congratulates Oguaamanhene on 25th anniversary as he pays courtesy call ahead of Central Regional tour

The Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has congratulated Oguaamanhene, Dr. Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, on the 25th anniversary of his enstoolment as Oguaamanhene.

Dr. Bawumia extended his congratulations to the traditional ruler when he paid a courtesy call following his arrival in Cape Coast on Sunday evening, ahead of his campaign tour of the Central Region.

The courtesy call is a usual feature of the Bawumia campaign, to pay homage to overlords of traditional areas and seek their blessings ahead of campaign activities in their jurisdiction.

Dr. Bawumia, accompanied by some Ministers of State and senior campaign advisors, told Osabarima Dr. Kwesi Atta that he was paying a courtesy call on him as a mark of respect and also to seek his blessings ahead of his campaign activities in Cape Coast.

"You are the Overlord of Oguaa, and I can't just enter and start my campaign activities without coming here to greet you and seek your blessings," Dr. Bawumia said.

Dr. Bawumia thanked Osabarima Dr. Kwesi Atta for his warm reception and requested his continuous support, and that of Oguaaman, as he campaigns to lead the country, pledging to continue his good relationship with the Oguaamanhene.

The Oguaamanhene expressed gratitude to Dr. Bawumia for his visit and assured him of his prayers for the battle ahead.

The Oguaamanhene presented a symbolic crown to Dr. Bawumia.
