The son of the late Alhaji Yahaya Iddi, one of the stalwarts of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region has admitted he was wrong in his false accusations and criticisms of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Jamal Yahaya Iddi who is a businessman in a video that went viral, accused the Vice President of neglecting his brothers from the north by failing to support them despite their contributions to the fortunes of the party in the 2016 polls.
But in another video to counter the earlier one, he disclosed that he was misled as far offering support to persons from the north was concerned.
Flaunting a list to back his sudden u-turn, he disclosed that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has very been supportive to the course of his brothers and sisters from the north.
“I have done thorough investigations about what I am about to say. The last time, I came here to say that our brother Bawumia does not help his brothers from the north…today I want to say that Dr Bawumia is a good man”, he said.
He named various positions being occupied by persons of northern extraction admitting that his first video that subjected the second gentleman of the land to all forms of unsubstantiated allegations was not thought through.
“I was misled to accuse him when people he put in positions are uncountable. He is not the President he is just the Vice President and has his limits. All those who will bring me information and ask me to say things about him in order to destroy him God is watching. Dr forgive me for I did not know. Even if you will not forgive me just for the sake of the name Yahaya Iddi do and accept my apology”, he begged.
