Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, sent traders in Diaso Market and thousands of supporters into a complete frenzy on day 6 of his Central Regional tour.

The mammoth receptions of traders and supporters alike have become a familiar feature in Dr. Bawumia's tour of the Central Region, and today was no different as he moved to this side of the region, having already toured some coastal parts of the constituency.

Dr. Bawumia began his day in Diaso Market in the Upper Denkyira East Constituency, where the traders showed him open love by chanting his name and singing in adoration.

Typical of his campaign, Dr. Bawumia spent time in the market going around and exchanging pleasantries with people before heading to the lorry station for a meet and greet session with excited drivers and members of the public.

On Monday, Dr. Bawumia set Winneba alight with an incredible welcome. However, Dunkwa-on-Offin, in the Denkyira West Constituency, also laid its own red carpet for the Vice President.

A large crowd, which had waited for the arrival of the Vice President, went into a complete frenzy when his famous bus arrived.

Like Winneba, or perhaps even in larger volume, the crowd besieged the bus, making movement difficult.

Dr. Bawumia had to get down to walk as the excited crowd cheered him on wildly.

As a region considered a swing region by many, and with the NDC recently expressing its worry over the region's recent voting direction, Dr. Bawumia would be excited with the mammoth reception he has received from both traditional rulers and the people of the Central Region.
