Bawumia’s running mate delaying because of Dumsor – Afia Pokua

Broadcast journalist Afia Pokua believes that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia can't name his running mate due to Dumsor.

She claims that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has chosen Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh as Bawumia's running mate, but the ongoing issue of 'Dumsor' is preventing the announcement.

The Despite Media presenter suggests that the governing NPP intends to address the intermittent power outages before announcing their choice of a running mate.

"The reason Bawumia cannot announce a running mate is because of Dumsor. This is why I always say Nana Addo must apologize to Bawumia. If they had not sacked Agyarko, he would have been a good candidate for running mate.

"Today, Napo is at the Energy Ministry, but I don’t blame him because he did not cause Dumsor. There is a significant problem the NPP is struggling to solve, which is Dumsor, and with this Dumsor, you cannot bring in NAPO until you resolve the Dumsor. So, they have to wait to solve the problem. They keep pushing it back because, in the face of Dumsor, you can't announce Napo. Maybe Adu Twum, but Adu Twum also has his own problems. That is why I mentioned Naa Torshie the other time, but even the people of Greater Accra do not favor the NPP, so that too is problematic.

"The NPP has a significant problem, and it is created by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Bawumia's problems are caused 80% by Nana Addo. He owes Bawumia an apology. His campaign is not divine; it is a strategy because he cannot afford to hold rallies but rather meets the people and uses his soft side to connect with them," she said.
