Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam Nartey George has expressed disappointment over the silence of the Chairman of the Police Council, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia on the recent murder of policemen in the country.

In a twitter post cited by ABC News, the Ningo Prampram MP bemoaned the lack of action on the part of the Vice President despite several reports of attack on Police Officers in the country.

According to him, police brutality poses a huge security threat thus the need for the Vice President who also doubles as the Chairman of the Police Council to comment on the matter.

“5 Policemen killed in the last 30 days! Truly alarming state of insecurity. The Chairman of the Police Council is mute! Sad.”
