NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu, set the principal streets of Wa alight on Sunday afternoon when he arrived in the Upper West Regional capital for his community engagements.
The Vice President has been camping in the north over the past few days, after starting his regional engagements down south, and the Upper West marks the final region of his tour in the north on this leg of his campaign.
Upon his arrival in Wa in the afternoon, the NPP flagbearer and his entourage went straight to the Wa Naa's Palace to pay a courtesy call.
As Dr. Bawumia reached the Wa Naa's Palace, scores of people, mostly women and young people, mobbed him as he entered the Palace.
From the Wa Naa's Palace, Dr. Bawumia took to the streets on foot for a campaign, which has now become a familiar feature of his campaign.
The streets came to a standstill as the large crowd followed Dr. Bawumia, while he interacted with people on the streets and in shops.
After his street engagements, the NPP flagbearer met with Imams from the Upper West Region, who turned up in large numbers.
During the meeting, he shared what he has accomplished as Vice President assisting President Akufo-Addo, as well as his own vision for the country if he is elected President of Ghana.
Dr. Bawumia is expected to continue his tour of the Upper West Region on Monday, and he is scheduled to meet with many stakeholders, including the Clergy, the Regional House of Chiefs, market women, and the youth.
