A pastor has appealed to Christians to be bold to express their views on national issues and refuse to be intimidated by politicians.

The National Executive President of the Evangelical Calvarian Church of Ghana, Brother K. E. Yamoah, said it was important for Christians to actively participate in political discourse to get elected leaders to live up to expectation.

He said Christians as “the light and salt of the world” have a noble contribution to make to bring progress, adding that it must not be lost on anybody that they would one day be held accountable for their actions and inactions.

He was delivering the sermon at the 46th anniversary/founders day celebration of the church held in Kumasi.

The event was to thank God for his immeasurable gift of peace and to ask for his continued blessings for the country.

Brother Yamoah appealed to the political leadership to seek God’s divine wisdom and to rely on His guidance for everything that they do and to put the general good of the people they are leading ahead of their personal comfort and convenience.
