Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has called on muslim communities across the country to strive to emulate the exemplary life of the Holy Prophet and live disciplined lives.
This according to Dr Bawumia will not only be beneficial to muslim communities but Ghana as a whole.
The vice president gave the advice when he joined Al-Khalifa Sheikh Ustaz Yusha Babal-Waiz (Hujjatul-Islam III), Dr. Shiehk Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmad Maqari, Imam of the Central Mosque in Abuja, Nigeria and the Wataniya Islamic Council for the 75th annual Maulid celebration to commemorate the birth of Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) in Kumasi on Saturday, November 9, 2019.
The Wataniya Council of Elders and fraternity reaffirmed their commitment and support to the success of policy initiatives instituted by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's administration for Zongo communities such as Zongo development fund, Allowances for Arabic Instructors, Free SHS, Nation Builders Corps (NaBCO), Vocational Skills Training for Zongos, and Mini Parks in various Zongos.
Dr Bawumia assured the Muslim community of the government's agenda of making inclusive development across Ghana a priority and urged all to support it.
