The Central Regional Police Commander, DCOP Nenyi Ampah Benin has called on the general public to be on the lookout for persons who parade themselves as police and military personnel.
This came to light when the police in that region apprehended one Francis Adarkwah on November 8 for posing as a police officer with the Ghana Police Service.
A similar incident was recorded in the Eastern Region in September where 25-year-old Prince Baah was apprehended by the Eastern Regional Police Command for impersonation.
He was later handed an 8-year jail term. In the wake of these impersonations, the Central Regional Police Commander is cautioning the public to be wary of such persons who tend to tarnish the image of the police Service.
