Ho West MP Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah has rescinded his decision to resign as MP.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) lawmaker had written to Speaker of Parliament Prof Mike Oquaye about his intention to resign following a disagreement he had with the national leadership of his party over the suspension of polls in his constituency.
Class91.3FM learnt that the Ranking Member of the Government Assurance Committee later withdrew his intention after General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, intervened to resolve the issue around the suspension of the polls in Ho West.
Mr Nketia later confirmed to Class FM the decision by the MP to be in office.
The NDC is holding its nationwide constituency polls on Saturday, 23 June 2018 but 17 constituencies, according to a statement earlier released by the leadership of the party, have been suspended from the polls.
Ho West was among the list of suspended constituencies but Class FM’s sources say the concerns by the MP over the suspension of the polls in his constituency, have been resolved.
