Ghanaian striker Jonah Osabutey could not rescue his side,Royal Excel Mouscron from defeat despite scoring an equalizer.
The former Tema Youth forward pulled the equalizer for his side on the 51st minute after Laurent Depoitre had shot Gent into the lead on the 9th minute.
The equalizer was not enough to save Royal Excel Mouscron as Jonathan David scored twice on the 74th and 77th minute to claim all three points for Gent.
The 21-year-old Osabutey was replaced on the 89th minute by Alexandre Ippolito.
The Ghanaian is playing on loan from German club,Werder Bremen.
