Former Asante Kotoko administrative manager Benjamin Nti has distanced himself from reports linking him to the Chief Executive role of the club.
GHANAsoccernet.com reported on Tuesday that the former club official is being considered to replace George Amoako to steer the day-to-day administration of the club.
But Nti, who works with the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) has denied those reports.
"My work at GNPC makes it practically impossible to become the CEO of Asante Kotoko," he told Nhyira FM's Bright Kankam Boadu.
"I have also seen the story but there is no truth in it. My responsibility at GNPC is wide and reaching and won't be possible to work in that capacity.
"Already, I am a director of a club. I want to offer any form of support from the background."
