Benin President's visit postponed

Accra, June 20, GNA - The visit to Ghana of Beninois President Thomas Yayi Boni has been cancelled because of bad weather in the Benin economic capital, Cotonou.

Accra, June 20, GNA - The visit to Ghana of Beninois President Thomas Yayi Boni has been cancelled because of bad weather in the Benin economic capital, Cotonou. A statement signed by Mr Andrew Awuni, Press Secretary to the President and Presidential Spokesman, said new dates for the visit would be announced later after consultations between the two countries. Dr Boni was scheduled to have begun a two-day visit on Tuesday during which he was to have held talks with President Kufuor and visited the Akosombo Dam.
